Recap: Travis Rebels vs. Belton Tigers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Travis Rebels, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by Belton 61-6 on Thursday. Travis was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-0.
Belton was led to victory by Devin Horton and Gino Zecca. Horton rushed for 93 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, while Zecca rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.
Travis has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Belton, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Travis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Belton will take on Randle at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. One thing working in Randle's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
