Marcellus extends road winning streak to 12

The Marcellus Mustangs can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Sunday. They put the hurt on Utica Academy of Science with a sharp 64-40 victory. The win was familiar territory for Marcellus who now have three in a row.

It was another big night for Will Burnett, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tucker Burnett, who scored nine points along with nine assists and seven rebounds.

Marcellus pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.5 points. As for Utica Academy of Science, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Marcellus will head out on the road to challenge Bishop Kearney at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Kearney will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Marcellus is ranked 18th). Utica Academy of Science won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Marcellus at 6:00 p.m. on January 15th.
