Two dominant s in Theo Wilson and Connor Purcell are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Armwood Hawks will face off against the Steinbrenner Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Armwood has seven straight victories, Steinbrenner has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Armwood's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Sickles, posting a 49-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Armwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allonzo Williams, who rushed for 57 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Desean Sharrieff made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Armwood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kallen Martinez and Sharrieff. Martinez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Steinbrenner came up short against Largo on Friday and fell 34-21. Despite 176 more yards than the Packers, the Warriors couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Armwood will need to focus on slowing down Rylen Dutka, one of several Steinbrenner players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 349 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 33 yards and one score. Jaydon Page was Dutka's top target, picking up 132 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Even if they lost, Steinbrenner's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Purcell refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.
Steinbrenner's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Armwood, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
Everything came up roses for Armwood against Steinbrenner when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 62-3 win. In that contest, the Hawks amassed a halftime lead of 35-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
