Soccer Recap: Surry County Falls to Greensville County in First Game of Season

Surry County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Greensville County Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Surry County couldn't quite close it out.

Chandelynn Moriyama and Khai Briggs scored both of Surry County's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Surry County has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech on the 24th. As for Greensville County, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Southampton at 5:30 p.m. on the 7th.
