Desert Mountain and Mountain Pointe are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Pride at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

In Thursday's Canine Competition, Desert Mountain had to take the L. They lost 3-0 to Horizon on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Mountain Pointe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Campo Verde. While the Pride didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Coyotes 25-18 in the first set.

Mountain Pointe started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-11, 25-19, 25-19.

Mountain Pointe's defeat dropped their record down to 6-24. As for Desert Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 11-22.

Everything went Desert Mountain's way against Mountain Pointe in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as Desert Mountain made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
