Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Connellsville walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Penn-Trafford Warriors on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won six matches in a row.

Connellsville's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chase Sankovich, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Connellsville's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Penn-Trafford, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Connellsville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
