Basketball Game Preview: Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies vs. Tippecanoe Valley Vikings

Plymouth and Tippecanoe Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies will be playing at home against the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Plymouth has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Plymouth is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by New Prairie to the tune of 69-35 on Saturday. The Pilgrims/Rockies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 32 points or more this season.

Plymouth got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kadyn Ellery out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Van Duyne, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.

Plymouth smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 48-39 to Hauser.

Plymouth has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Tippecanoe Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Plymouth and Tippecanoe Valley were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January, but Plymouth came up empty-handed after a 45-44 defeat.
