Soccer Game Preview: Pacifica Christian vs. Avalon

The Pacifica Christian Tritons will square off against the Avalon Lancers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Pacifica Christian is headed into Saturday's following a draw, the team's first since December 12. They and San Gabriel Academy finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Avalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Tarbut V' Torah.

With that draw, Pacifica Christian's record moves to 6-6-3. As for Avalon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1.

Pacifica Christian suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Avalon when the teams last played back in January of 2019. Can Pacifica Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
