Football Game Preview: Avalon Lancers vs. Vista Meridian Meridian Eagles

The Avalon Lancers will challenge the Vista Meridian Meridian Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Avalon was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 20-15 to Faith Baptist.

Meanwhile, Vista Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Villanova Prep 40-12. The Meridian Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Vista Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Avalon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Avalon against Vista Meridian in their previous matchup back in October of 2023, as the squad secured a 37-0 win. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Meridian Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
