Baseball Recap: Upperman Takes a Loss

Upperman lost against Christ Presbyterian Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bees fell 7-2 to the Lions. The Bees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chris Wirsing was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Upperman's record is now 15-10. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 21 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-2-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upperman will square off against Livingston Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Bees surely won't give up without a fight. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they will challenge Lipscomb Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 2.2, the Mustangs 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
