Basketball Recap: Modoc Comes Up Short

Modoc lost against Mt. Shasta two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Modoc Braves were beaten by the Mt. Shasta Bears 74-43. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Modoc lost, don't look at Adin Benson. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Benson also posted a 88% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2023. Colin Jeffers was another key player, putting up nine points.

Modoc's record is now 13-13. As for Mt. Shasta, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Coming up, Modoc won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Etna at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Modoc is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season. As for Mt. Shasta, they will square off against Weed at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
