West Bend East hadn't done well against Hartford recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Suns came out on top against the Orioles by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Suns: when they faced off against the Orioles on September 11th, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

West Bend East never let Hartford on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23.

Lydia Hoier paced West Bend East's offense, picking up eight kills. Hoier got some help from Shealee McCreary and her ten assists. McCreary was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

With the victory, West Bend East broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-15. As for Hartford, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.

West Bend East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Sheboygan South on the 30th. As for Hartford, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Whitefish Bay on the 30th.
