Baseball Recap: West Windsor-Plainsboro South Comes Up Short

West Windsor-Plainsboro South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 17-6 to the Hamilton Hornets. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 6-4 to the Hornets when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Thor Bernheisel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. West Windsor-Plainsboro South is 2-1 when Bernheisel posts two or more runs, but 1-9 otherwise.

West Windsor-Plainsboro South's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Hamilton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

Looking ahead, West Windsor-Plainsboro South will take on West Windsor-Plainsboro North at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Pirates are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hamilton, they will head out to take on Haddonfield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
