Basketball Recap: Southern Guilford Takes a Loss

Southern Guilford lost against High Point Central back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Southern Guilford Storm were outmatched by the High Point Central Bison and fell 78-38. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while the Bison are ranked 153rd).

It was another big night for Josiah Hill, who posted 27 points for High Point Central. That's the most points Hill has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jack Carter, who put up 17 points.

Southern Guilford dropped their record down to 4-18 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for High Point Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8.

As of now, neither Southern Guilford nor High Point Central have any future games scheduled.
