Soccer Recap: Advanced Tech Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Taylor Prep on Wednesday, Advanced Tech Academy came back down to earth. The Lakers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Summit Academy Dragons on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Advanced Tech Academy of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2020.

Advanced Tech Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matchups. As for Summit Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8-1.

Coming up, Advanced Tech Academy will head out on the road to square off against Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Summit Academy, they will face off against Taylor at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
