While Buffalo's victory against Hopkins wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bison never let the Royals get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday. The one-run effort marked the Bison's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Not much got past NOLAN MULLENBACH, who gave up just a hit to keep Hopkins off the board.

Buffalo's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-2. As for Hopkins, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Buffalo will challenge rival Eden Prairie at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hopkins is set to take on their familiar foe St. Michael-Albertville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Royals 3.2, the Knights 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
