Football Recap: Skyview Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Skyview lost against Evergreen back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolverines had to suffer through a 56-13 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The Wolverines were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-13.

Evergreen found their leader in sophomore Tom Van Den Bos, who threw for 405 yards and six TDs while picking up 15.0 yards per attempt. Those 405 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Van Den Bos. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianni Volpe, who gained 108 total yards and a touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for Skyview and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Evergreen, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyview will venture away from home to face off against Wheat Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines will be up against the Farmers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.14 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Evergreen, they will head out on the road to take on Green Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Volpe and Drew Contreras.
