Softball Recap: Caprock Comes Up Short

Caprock lost against Lubbock-Cooper back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Longhorns took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates.

Caprock's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Lubbock-Cooper, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Looking ahead, Caprock is taking a road trip to take on Coronado at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lubbock-Cooper, they will square off against Tascosa at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.14 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
