Baseball Recap: Seattle Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Silas

Seattle Academy kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Silas Rams by a score of 5-3.

Eli Herst was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Herst was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Herst wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Liam Mahoney, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Coming up, Seattle Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Marysville Getchell at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Silas, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against North Thurston at 4:00 p.m.
