Payette unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against The Ambrose School on Thursday, falling 12-0. Payette fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against The Ambrose School since Thursday.

Coincidentally, Payette and The Ambrose School will both be playing Fruitland the next time they take the pitch. The Archers will host the Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Pirates will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
