Massanutten Military Academy was beaten by Shenandoah Valley Academy 80-27. Massanutten Military Academy has struggled against Shenandoah Valley Academy recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shenandoah Valley Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Browne, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Browne is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Patterson, who scored 16 points along with four blocks.
Massanutten Military Academy bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Shenandoah Valley Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Massanutten Military Academy will take on Handley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Shenandoah Valley Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wakefield School at 5:30 p.m.
