Volleyball Recap: Omaha South Takes a Loss

Omaha South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Bellevue East Chieftains. The Packers were not able to make up for their loss to the Chieftains from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18.

Genesis Ruiz paced Omaha South's offense, picking up three kills. Ruiz also shared the team's lead in assists with Mia Quintana: they picked up two each. Kenna Cattlett controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Omaha South's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Bellevue East, their record is now 10-15.

Omaha South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Bryan on the 18th. As for Bellevue East, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Roncalli Catholic on the 18th.
