Soccer Recap: Lincolnton Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Lincolnton and West Lincoln have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. Wolves fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 2-1. Lincolnton haven't had much luck with West Lincoln recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lincolnton's goal came courtesy of Melanie Solera, who's now up to 11 this season.

Lincolnton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for West Lincoln, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4-1.

Looking ahead, Lincolnton will be playing at home against Bandys at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bandys will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Lincolnton surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Lincoln, they will square off against Bunker Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
