Recap: Tishomingo Indians vs. Tushka Tigers
The Tishomingo Indians were the 66-62 winner over the Tushka Tigers when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Tishomingo ended up on the wrong side of a rough 51-28 walloping at the hands of Tushka on Thursday.
Tushka was led to victory by Tagen Simon and Tristan Gibson. Simon scored 13 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds, while Gibson scored 14 points. The matchup was Gibson's third in a row with at least ten points. Walt Kerr was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds.
Tishomingo bumped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Tushka, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tishomingo will take on Sulphur at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tushka won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rock Creek at 8:00 p.m. on January 5th. Rock Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tushka in Oklahoma (Rock Creek is ranked 93rd, while Tushka is ranked 271st).
