Baseball Recap: West Fork Takes a Loss

West Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Newman Catholic Knights, falling 23-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Spartans have suffered against the Knights since May 28, 2024.

West Fork's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Newman Catholic, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, West Fork will venture away from home to challenge Central Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newman Catholic, they will take on Clear Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 4.1, the Lions 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
