Baseball Recap: Mississinewa Takes a Loss

Mississinewa was the 8-4 winner over Huntington North when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell 5-2 to the Vikings on Tuesday.

Mississinewa saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kellen Rock, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Rock is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Mississinewa's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Huntington North, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Mississinewa will host Elwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.5 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Huntington North, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-6 win against Manchester on the 24th.
