Softball Recap: Grissom Gets the Win

Grissom proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 16) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Albertville Aggies 4-3. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 17-25), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Grissom has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. Albertville moved to 6-1 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Grissom Tigers face off against Spain Park Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Albertville, they will challenge Asbury at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
