Baseball Game Preview: St. Mary's Springs Ledgers vs. Omro Foxes

For the second straight game, St. Mary's Springs will face off against Omro. The Ledgers will be playing at home against the Foxes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

St. Mary's Springs' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Omro. Surprisingly, this marked the Ledgers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The result came thanks to Ben Anderson's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of St. Mary's Springs' success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is undefeated (and 4-9 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Carter Bartelt was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

St. Mary's Springs' victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Omro, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
