Softball Recap: Heritage Eagles vs. ThunderRidge Grizzlies
Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 19-7 to the ThunderRidge Grizzlies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 8-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Eliza Auger was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Burke, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Even though they lost, Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for ThunderRidge, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

Heritage will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for ThunderRidge, they will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Chaparral at 3:00 p.m.
