Baseball Recap: Claiborne Comes Up Short

Claiborne's last matchup with Volunteer could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost 10-0 to the Falcons. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost seven in a row.

Garrett Keiter was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one stolen base.

Claiborne's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Volunteer, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17.

Looking ahead, Claiborne will square off against Greeneville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Volunteer, they will face off against West Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
