Pender piles up the points against Glenwood

Recap: Pender Pendragons vs. Glenwood Rams

The Pender Pendragons put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Glenwood for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-29 win on the road. Pender has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 25 points or more this season.

Pender's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Wegner, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Wegner has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hadley Walsh, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Pender's victory bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Glenwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Pender will head out on the road to challenge Tri County Northeast on Tuesday. As for Glenwood, they will be playing at home against Kuemper on Monday. Kuemper will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Glenwood is ranked 101st).
