Newington extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Tristan Gorman. The Nor'easters were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens on Monday thanks in part to Gorman, who had 17 assists and three digs. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 17 or more in each of the last 11 games he's played.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-10, 25-15.

Newington's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newington will welcome Maloney at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Nor'easters surely won't give up without a fight. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, they will be playing at home against Norwich Free Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
