Volleyball Recap: Harmony Science Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Frida Escobedo and Leilani Magalde

Harmony Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Austin Panthers, falling 3-0. Harmony Science Academy was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Austin earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

While Harmony Science Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-20.

Leilani Magalde and Frida Escobedo certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Magalde had 18 digs, while Escobedo had eight digs and six assists.

Harmony Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for Austin, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.

Harmony Science Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Harmony School of Innovation on the 19th. As for Austin, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Bowie on the 19th.
