It was a good run, but Cedar Bluff unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Gaston Bulldogs by a score of 8-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 14-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Kuper Bradley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. Caleb Edmondson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Cedar Bluff's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Gaston, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-5.
