Basketball Game Preview: McClymonds Warriors vs. Fremont Tigers

McClymonds and Fremont are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The McClymonds Warriors will head out to square off against the Fremont Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McClymonds is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, McClymonds came up short against Oakland and fell 53-41. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 581st, while the Wildcats are ranked 107th).

Meanwhile, Fremont also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Oakland Tech by a score of 76-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (61), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

McClymonds' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Fremont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

McClymonds came out on top in a nail-biter against Fremont when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 45-43. Will McClymonds repeat their success, or does Fremont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
