Basketball Game Preview: Alliance Bulldogs vs. Chadron Cardinals

Alliance hasn't had much luck against Chadron recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Alliance Bulldogs will square off against the Chadron Cardinals at 5:30 p.m.

Alliance is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They lost 55-30 to Bridgeport. While losing is never fun, Alliance can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Bridgeport is ranked 40th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Chadron took on Hemingford on Tuesday. Everything went Chadron's way against Hemingford as Chadron made off with a 55-29 victory. The Cardinals pushed the score to 37-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats had little chance of recovering from.

Alliance's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Chadron, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Alliance came up short against Chadron in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 46-38. Can Alliance avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
