Soccer Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Valley and Russell County have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Rams lost 4-0 to the Warriors. Valley have struggled against Russell County recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Valley now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Russell County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will square off against Sylacauga at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley's defense better be ready for this one: Sylacauga have averaged an impressive 3.9 goals per game this season. As for Russell County, they will challenge Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
