Jamarcea Plater Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is Captain Shreve's Jamarcea Plater, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Plater's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 175 rushing yards.

Captain Shreve's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. Plater and Captain Shreve will look to defend their home field on Friday against Parkway at 7:00 p.m.

Taylor Posts Huge Game in 56-13 Win

Ben Taylor was instrumental in extending Airline's winning streak to seven on Friday. Haughton had no answer to Taylor as he threw for 209 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Taylor has been hot , having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played.

Haughton had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Taylor it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Taylor saw the Buccaneers), he threw for 364 yards and five touchdowns while completing 88.5% of his passes.

Thanks in part to Damari Drake, Evangel Christian Academy said goodbye to their four-game losing streak. Drake did his part (and then some), making 16 total tackles (1.0 for loss) for the 'W'. He has been hot , having posted seven or more total tackles the last five times he's played.

This season, Drake has averaged 12.6 total tackles per game.

Collin Deere Turns in Season-Best Effort

Collin Deere produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Byrd to the win on Friday. Deere rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
