Baseball Recap: Stevenson Comes Up Short

Stevenson lost against Edison Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans lost 11-5 to the Pioneers. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Andrew Grzanowski and Cameron Kitchen stepped up to the plate in a big way. Grzanowski went 2-for-3 with one run and one double, while Kitchen went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Kitchen has hit this season.

Stevenson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Edison Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Stevenson will be playing in front of their home fans against Western International at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cowboys have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Edison Academy, they will head out to take on Anderson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight.
