Basketball Recap: White Plains Takes a Loss

White Plains was the 53-35 winner over Piedmont when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The White Plains Wildcats took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piedmont Bulldogs on Monday. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

White Plains' record is now 4-7. As for Piedmont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

White Plains won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season. As for Piedmont, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Weaver at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Piedmont knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Weaver likes a good challenge.
