Softball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Sets Scoring Season-High Against Oldenburg Academy

Jac-Cen-Del was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Oldenburg Academy Twisters, falling 13-7. On the bright side, the seven- run effort marked the Eagles' highest-scoring contest to date.

Brailynn Sloan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those hits marked the first that she has got this season.

Jac-Cen-Del's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Oldenburg Academy, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Coming up, Jac-Cen-Del will challenge South Ripley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oldenburg Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Morristown at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Yellow Jackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.83 runs per game on average), something the Twisters will no doubt try to take advantage of.
