Volleyball Recap: Fairfield Beats Richland County for Their Third Straight Victory

Fairfield had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Richland County Tigers by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Fairfield easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Gracie Atwood and Jensyn Robbins, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Dalanie Ellis and her ten assists. Robbins was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 24-10. As for Richland County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-24.

Fairfield has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Massac County on the 25th. As for Richland County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Benton on the 25th.
