Volleyball Recap: Goldsboro Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Goldsboro and Rosewood, and Rosewood kept the tradition alive. The Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Thursday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-10, 21-25, 25-14.

Rosewood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bella Mazura, who had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Mazura has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Khiry Reese, who had 14 digs and two assists.

Goldsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Rosewood, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Goldsboro will take on Southern Wayne at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Rosewood, they will face off against Perquimans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
