After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Nona, Gateway was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Liberty Chargers as Gateway made off with a 16-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Romeo Delgado looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaleb Bermudez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Ian Colon was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
