Softball Recap: Grant Park Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Grant Park was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They lost 19-1 to the Beecher Bobcats. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Grant Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Roberts, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Ava Desiderio also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Grant Park's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4. As for Beecher, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bobcats beat Grant Park by a score of 10-0 later that day.
