Baseball Recap: Arvada West Falls Short of Broomfield in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Arvada West couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broomfield Eagles on Saturday.

Tate Deal was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Millikan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

Arvada West's loss dropped their record down to 23-4-1. As for Broomfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Arvada West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Broomfield, they will square off against Regis Jesuit at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
