Volleyball Game Preview: Martinsville Artesians vs. Jeffersonville Red Devils

After both having extra time off, the Martinsville Artesians and the Jeffersonville Red Devils will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Martinsville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Evansville Memorial as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Artesians.

Meanwhile, Jeffersonville had already won 14 in a row and they went ahead and made it 15 on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dragons.

Martinsville better keep an eye on Francisco Martinez. He was instrumental in Jeffersonville's win, getting five digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Martinez a new career-high.

Martinsville's record is now 12-13. As for Jeffersonville, their record now sits at 29-5.

Martinsville came up short against Jeffersonville in their previous matchup on May 3rd, falling 2-0. Can the Artesians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
