Baseball Recap: Illini West Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

Illini West made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Quincy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Chargers blew past the Blue Devils 8-1 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Chargers, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Wesley Robertson was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Robertson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Shawn Watkins Jr. was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Carter Chapin, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
