Baseball Recap: Howard Comes Up Short

Howard might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Westside who claimed the real prize. The Howard Huskies lost 12-2 to the Westside Patriots. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

JAYDEN REESE was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Darius Brown also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Howard's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Westside, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Westside beat Howard by a score of 17-1 later that day.
