Basketball Recap: Burney Falls Despite Big Games from Cort Covert and Kyle Noah

Burney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 52-33 fall against the Chester Volcanoes. Sadly, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-33 back in January.

Burney's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kyle Noah, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points, and Cort Covert, who posted ten points.

Burney's record now sits at 6-13. As for Chester, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.

Burney will host Surprise Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chester, they will face off against CORE Butte at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
